10 items to pack when visiting an Orlando theme park

So you’ve acquired your family's tickets, you’ve arranged the travel in addition to lodging, so now all you need to take into account is packing. “But wait. Exactly what things does someone have to take to a theme park?” I overhear you wonder.

Given below I will let you know the most important 10 things which it is wise to remember to take to the parks with you.

Camera

You probably would be amazed at the number of people that actually fail to remember their digital camera. Yes nearly all the parks have photographers (that ask for lots of money for prints) but when you want to shoot your own photographic memories, do not forget that camera! There are often signs advertising snapshot opportunities or alternatively character meet and greets.

Comfortable Traveling Shoes

Consider just how many miles you will be trekking in the course of a day. You may forget how much you really walk, as you will be having too much fun! But nevertheless wearing uncomfortable sneakers and even getting blisters all over your feet will affect the day. This is also true for the kids because they could get incredibly cranky!

Sunblock

Perhaps it is the key item to not forget! Florida can get extremely darn hot, even through the wintertime. Even while the sun isn’t shining, it is still possible to get sunburnt through clouds. Take it!

Fluid

Taking a reusable bottle of drinking water (or any fluid come to think of it) could be an absolute lifesaver through those sizzling hot days outside. After you’ve consumed it all, you can head to a nearby drinking fountain and refill it and reuse it all over again. Tip: We frequently freeze our liquids (non-carbonated) whenever we go to the theme parks. This lets them to stay freezing cold for hours.

ID

Often while working at EPCOT I would ring someone up for their purchases, and they would hand me their credit card that was unsigned... At the moment Disney have a rule where we can’t accept unsigned credit cards without an ID (drivers license or passport). Additionally should you wish to drink alcohol (and are of course over twenty-one) you will require proof of your age. Particularly when “drinking around the world” at EPCOT.

Poncho/ Rain Coat

Indeed they sell these inside the park, and also charge huge bucks for them. My best advice is to obtain them from Walmart or Publix. The average selling price at the theme parks is approximately $8. Walmart rate? $1. Fun Fact: Did you know that Disney keep their ponchos closed away in a cupboard until it rains? When they noticed the storms they make a crazy dash to put out all the ponchos. Time to generate some money for the Mouse... But seriously. Buy from Walmart. They might not be the best quality nevertheless could save you seven bucks.

Change of Clothes (including under-wear) or alternatively a Swimsuit

Remember earlier on when you were plunged into streams on the water ride and found yourself completely soaked? Well ponder having to walk around the whole day with dipping wet clothing! I’ve done it before. Sure the boiling hot sun could possibly dry you just a little bit, but if you don’t have a change of clothes you are going to be totally miserable for a number of hrs. And you’re meant to be having fun!

Zip Lock Food Baggy

A food bag?! Is this person for real? Of course! But certainly not to keep food in. Picture this. You’re on a wet attraction dropping down the largest drop, the raft plunges into the rivers and then covers you completely. But wait a second! You left your cell in your pocket so at this point it’s completely water logged and won’t turn on. Wouldn’t it be seriously wonderful for many who had a zip lock food baggy to place it in so it would be guarded against water? Pack it!

Phone

And just what good might a food bag be without a cell phone? Yet more to the point, what do you do should you lose your younger children in the crowds of people and you do not have a way to be contacted? (Don’t stress or panic - happens on a regular basis and security are ready). Okay so the ultimate way to prepare for this is to take a pen and mark your cell phone number on your kids arms so they won’t forget your number to contact you. Make sure to let them know that IF you are separated to go to a theme park employee and say to them you need to contact the number on their arm. You will soon be back together.
